My Life So Far As We Know It

My life so far as we know it has been busy with one thing happening after the next. A whirlwind of emotions again and again. I didn't realize it would be possible to feel and experience so much while trying to sell a home and build a new one at the same time.

About six months ago my husband and I put our condo up for sale after we had decided that we had found the perfect location and floor plan for our new home. Only thing that we didn't realize was that it was going to be a very cold fall and winter bringing in very few people to see our condo for showings and open houses.

Once spring temperatures arrived we began to see more people for showings and open houses. Finally Friday we had our first offer which we accepted. It will be close but we believe that we will be able to sell our condo and have enough money to put down on our new house.

Our new house that we did build and we should have closed on the first week of March, is a ranch plan with over 2000 sq. ft. Four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, large closets, huge kitchen, wonderful breakfast room and separate dining room, a great room that you can see from the kitchen, attached to car garage, main floor laundry, and a very large roomy basement with three picture windows. This doesn't even count the numerous updates we decided to do in our home like a vaulted ceilings and a designer kitchen.

The condo has many upsides like a beautiful view of the courtyard from the front of the home, large bedrooms with lots of closet space, but this home has always been lacking because it is a two story home. Ever since my back, knee problems, and after my back surgery in 2006 it's been difficult to live in a two story home.

We are hoping that the inspection goes well this next week and that everything will continue without a hitch. No major problems that are in our home currently, not that we know of. So hopefully everything will pass with flying colors and we'll have no worries what so ever.

I just hope that with in this next month I can continue to share good news and eventually be able to talk about the final moving process and how it feels to be living in our new house.
