Lazy Afternoon

Lazy afternoon and my nap didn't happen. Still just as tired as ever. Can't wait to turn the AC on once the hot summer days set in. Even my kitties are warm and tired.

Tired Today

Tired today and want to take an afternoon nap. Haven't been sleeping well this week and believe as soon as the condo sells I'll begin to sleep through the night again. I planned to go out to the gym and to an Aveda store to take advantage of the birthday offer I got. However I probably can't even use the free birthday stuff because it's not vegan. I'm off to put away the clean dishes, straighten up and take a nap.

I Love All Things VegaDeli

I love all things VegaDeli! I had no idea a year ago that I would enjoy this restaurant as much as I do. Unfortunately as I live in Saint Charles I don't visit VegaDeli that often. I look forward to my visits. There are not many places in Saint Louis that accommodate vegan dining, so that is why I'm so pleased that VegeDeli is here to stay. With their grab-n-go locations I'll never be without VegaDeli if I'm in an area that has one and want to eat some tasty food. If you haven't been there yet check it out and enjoy the amazing food that VegaDeli has to offer.

Cleaned Out The Closet

Cleaned out the closet today and finally found the receipts I was looking for. Was able to pick back up where I started on the taxes and finish itemizing. After the closet was emptied out I decided to re-organize everything. It looks great now!

Have You Tried Goober PB & J

Have you tried Goober PB & J? This stuff isn't bad. I purchased the strawberry PB & J today and made a sandwich once I arrived home for an afternoon snack before dinner. I have been wanting to buy the Goober Grape for a long time now because it's on the "I Can't Believe It's Vegan" list. Though I can't seem to find the PB & J on the list today I do know that it is vegan. Same listed type of ingredients in both the strawberry and grape, aside from the fruit itself.

Some Good Guacamole

Some good guacamole really makes anything taste great! Made some this morning and had it on toast for breakfast, had some orange juice too, yum! I really enjoy making home made meals. So much better than the processed food that has so many preservatives and extra ingredients that are unnecessary.

Time For A Walk

Time for a walk, the weather is beautiful, plus hubby and I need a break from being inside and thinking about our condo. I love going on walks now that I'm 100+ less weight than what I used to be.

It Would Have To Be

It would have to be the most spectacular two story I'd ever seen in my life before with everything my husband and I would want in a home in order for me to want to live in one. At a new website and looking through listings. There are a few two stories that I like however we'd rather have a ranch with main floor laundry.

Four Groups

Four groups viewed our condo today for the open house. One was just crazy, one was interested, one could be a possibility, and other probably not interested because we only have two bedrooms. Signed up to listingbook.com today to track some house selling and buying info. Hopefully there actually will be good news and soon this time. We shall see.

Just A Few Hours

Just a few hours and we'll be having our open house. Because I've had to clean up the place three times this past week it's already pretty clean and in good shape. Just have to clean off the counters, scrub the toilets, clean the floors, do a little dusting and put out the display items around the house. It's raining a little bit outside today. Hopefully that doesn't stop anyone from coming to the open house today.

The Only Thing Stopping Us

The only thing stopping us from getting our dream home that my husband and I build from scratch is our condo. We began building our new house in October and it was October that we put our condo up for sale. We got several people in for the few open houses we had last year in 2009 but 2010 has been the year for more showings, especially since Spring began. Three showings this past week and tomorrow we'll be having an open house. Just hope that you find our buyer soon!

New Space, New Home

I heard news from my Grandma today that she'll be selling her house shortly and will be moving to an assisted living residence. It will be like condo living with a free meal a day, laundry taken care of weekly and much much more. She is so excited about this experience because her home will be all one level, about 1000 sq. ft, a patio and tons of amenities. She'll get to pick out new colors as the carpet is being replaced, wallpaper being taken down with new paint going up, and new cabinets will be going in her unit. As of now it sounds like her new place will be ready the first week of May. I'm so happy and excited for her! Building some thing new and picking out new cabinets and colors is a fun experience! :)

Insurance Set Up

I can't begin to say how wonderful it is to have insurance. I'm not talking about health insurance, that I'm terribly lucky to have because for over half a year I didn't have it before.

I'm talking about home owners and car insurance. Today I switched our policies over to a new company and we will be saving ourselves quite a bit of money. I feel productive today.

Now just to keep the condo looking beautiful, hope we continue to get showings and the open house is a success this Sunday!

No News Yet

No news yet. Went out after cleaning the house and doing more work than I did earlier this week. Re-arranged some items in the kitchen. Turns out it's the same agent who showed our home this past Sunday. Perhaps the same people for the showing or could be another couple. Hopefully will know soon and get an offer.

Two Hours & Counting

Today we have another showing for the condo my husband and I have been trying to sell since October 2009. We've been having increased showing this month and our time is running out. Our contract is until the 30th of April. Hopefully we'll be able to sell our condo before the date nears, not pay an arm in a leg in costs for closing, and purchase the house we built in Wentzville. There is a beautiful new house waiting for us out in Wentzville. Now all we have to do is sell our condo and purchase the new house before someone else does.
