These Days I Have Baby On The Brain

These days I have baby on the brain. I want to be a mom more than anything else in the world right now. And it's the perfect timing, finally! We have our new house, the 2nd bedroom is coming along and will be ready for baby once they arrive. But first we have to get a confirmed test and wait nine months. The waiting has been difficult. My husband and I have been ttc for five and a half years now. Such a long wait but it's only made me more patient and I've gone through so much in these almost six years. I can't wait to be a mother! I can't wait to have one of the best more beautiful experiences in my life! I just hope that I will be able to be a mother and that I get the chance. If I can't have a baby naturally then there is always adoption, which will never be ruled out. I hope to be a mother one way or another. Thinking about today could make me a little tear eyed. It is Fathers Day and we still do not have a 'real' reason to celebrate because we do not have a human child. However we do have fur babies. Just relaxing for a moment before finishing up work on the second bedroom. Hope to enjoy the rest of the day with my hubby. Hope to have a reason next year to celebrate Fathers Day. Here is to hoping.

I Get Chills Sometimes

I get chills sometimes but I demand that today be a happy day! Today is Fathers Day and it has me thinking about my own father, my husband's father and my husband. I can't wait to celebrate days like this with our future children.

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there! Fathers, Grandfathers, Great Grandfathers, God Parent Fathers, Fur Baby Fathers... enjoy your day and celebrate!

Since My Oil Change

Since my oil change I've had a service light come on, which Monday morning after the appointment I have, I will be calling the company and asking why this light is coming on. Better not be a 'come on' to get me to come in several thousand miles early to get service work done. I realize I need it by 60,000 but I'm not there yet.

Thursday I went to two different doctors appointments and between those appointments I visited with my mother and grandmother. After my last appointment I went to the pharmacy to fill my scripts and pick up a few things needed for around the house. Then finally went home and relaxed.

Friday was a little different as I had an appointment with a window blinds company in the afternoon. So first I sealed the marble table that we have in the breakfast room, cleaned it and then headed out of the house to track down where the farmers market would be Saturday morning. After I couldn't find the location I decided to drive to Target and look around before heading home and doing a little cleaning before the window appointment. Once home the lady arrived twenty minutes early and she gave us the highest estimate yet for getting faux wood window treatment for our entire house.

Saturday my husband and I did yard work outside, mow the lawn, water the lawn. After that we went out to the bank then headed to the store to return the hose that wasn't working, well it worked but it just wasted gallons of water because it leaked. We then went to Schnucks to pick up groceries for around the house. Then we headed home. It was a lazy afternoon, did some things around the house and enjoyed spending time at home.

So far Sunday we have put the dishes away, put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher, made blueberry pancakes, I cut up oranges and washed some grapes, my husband made some coffee and I made some tea. It was a very tasty breakfast. Then we relaxed for about a half an hour and then began going through the second bedroom. It's been weeks coming to take care of and we're happy to finally be taking care of it. Now we are relaxing again before we go for round two of moving things around, taking things for recycling out to the garage, moving all the donation stuff to one wall, taking empty boxes and other stuff down to the basement. It surely will be a long day but so worth it once we are able to relax again. Looking forward to watching True Blood, third season, second episode tonight. Re-reading through the third Sookie Stackhouse book by Charlaine Harris. I am sure that this season will be much different from the book but we shall see. I hope that some of the things that happen in the book will stay in the show. The second season was quite different in many ways from the book, Sookie's story stays about the same but the other characters, much different.

Had A Very Nice Weekend

Had a very nice weekend. Went to Whole Foods, did shopping at Walmart & purchased some baby shower gifts at Target. Then went to a baby shower today, got caught in the rain, managed to get to a gas station and fill up in time before I was left on the side of the road with nothing in my tank, purchased a few things from Aldi, and after dinner watched some True Blood with my hubby. Big week ahead of me, lots left to do around the house, need to get my oil change this week and doctors appointments. Look forward to relaxing next weekend.

Probably A Waste Of Time

Probably a waste of time doesn't even come close to describing it some days. I love being able to keep in touch with people over the internet but I do have to admit that since having the distractions back in my life I've been well, distracted. I spent about an hour online checking email, FB and now I'm posting on my blog about how some days it all feels like a huge waste of time. lol Go figure!

Have lots to accomplish today and hope to finish everything I start today. My foot had a blister on it a few months back which formed into a bigger blister and then about a month ago got real bad. So then I went to a foot doctor who gave me medicine and all sorts of stuff for it. Now it's in the final stages of healing and it's beginning to get difficult to walk on. Hopefully that means that soon it will all be healed and I won't have to worry about it 24/7.

Had a dream about black carpenter ants, saw one crawling on the deck the other day while cutting and watering the grass and now the worry about them getting into the house has gotten into my dreams. Will have to call the pest service and have them come out and spray. I don't want to kill the little guys, I just don't want them to come into our new house.

After Days Of Blogger Not Working

After days of blogger not working I'm finally able to get online and update with what is new. Cleaned up the kitchen yesterday and now it's looking beautiful. Today just have to finish up the dining room, great room and start unpacking the books into the computer room.

Purchased new clothing the other day and so happy to have a few more items that fit. Happy that things are finally starting to come together.

Mowed Part Of The Lawn Today

Mowed part of the lawn today, well my husband did, I just helped with the cord. Have to go out and buy a longer cord to plug in the electric lawn mower. What I really want to buy for our house is a cordless electric lawn mower. Would be so much easier to use, with no worry of a cord that you may or may not run over.

Almost Been Two Weeks

Almost been two weeks that my hubby, the kitties and I have been living in our new house. Still unpacking and have been making so many phone calls, filling out rebates and warranty cards. I have had something happening every single day so far. This morning has been what I like to call, a break. lol

Today I realized that three years ago this month I decided to so something wonderful for myself. Change my life forever. It was three years ago that I decided enough was enough, no more unhappy moments just because I was over weight, and boy was I tipping the scales. I weighed in at end of the 2006 year and by the time June 2007 arrived I was well over 300 pounds. For six months I didn't weigh myself ever again and continued to grow in jean sizes up to a size 26 and for one month, a size 28.

When I changed my life forever I began with salads, had them ever few days and before I knew it I was having them five out of seven days of the week. I began not even craving all the fatty foods I once enjoyed so much, including meat!

By the time January 2008 rolled around I had already dropped something like twenty pounds. I didn't begin tracking my weight until a few months into the 2008 year. That first year of weight loss was the most difficult for me, until now.

This year has been one emotional roller coaster. Selling the condo and buying the new house has been a very stressful time for my husband and I. This past January I was doing great with my weight loss, had dropped six pounds already after my month plus illness that I had the end of November and all through December. But once the middle of January hit and the house we were building began being marketed my weight loss came to a stop.

I didn't gain anything between the middle of January and the middle of April, but I didn't lose a pound either. By around the end of April doing into May I was back on track again. In fact I lost about six pounds last month!

Which brings me back to my realization of what month it is. This month three years ago I did the best thing for myself ever in my life so far, I chose to pull myself out of depression and out of the weight gaining spiral I had fallen into. I truly believe that I saved my life!

It hasn't been easy to get to where I am today. This week I weighed in at 180 pounds. From my last recorded heaviest weight that is 115 pounds lighter. For many people that is an entire person's worth of weight that I have lost. Believe me when I say that I feel like I have lost a person's worth of weight. I can move much more easily now, I feel healthier, I am happier, I fit into clothing I haven't been able to wear for about 15 years.

And now all my dreams and goals seem to be coming true. My husband and I have this beautiful new house away from it all yet not to far from what we need. I have two wonderful girl kitties who have been very thankful and happy to be back home with their mommy and daddy, never mind that it's a new house as long as their stuff is where it should be.

All that has to happen now is for me to continue towards my goal. And if I hit a little speed bump on the way that sets me back for nine months I won't mind. Because that's one of my goals too and now we have the space for that little speed bump to sleep if they decide to show up sometime soon.

Until then I happily we do what I enjoy, well, once we're all unpacked. Speaking of that I need to pull myself away from this computer and finish the kitchen and work on the great room. Hopefully it will be a beautiful day today and an amazing weekend! Planning on sending out invitations for the house warming celebration we will be having next month. Hope that many will be able to make it, if everyone does then there is a possibility that we could have 100 people in our new house. Reminds me of new years 2004 in our apartment. Now that is another night that I will never forget.

Filled Out Rebates

Filled out rebates and registered appliances online, made phone calls, set up new appointments and updated my current address. That has been my entire day for the most part. I feel lazy today but it's been a good day off my feet for the most part. Did take care of some laundry and the dishes, so today was productive.

Budget Blinds Are Coming Today

Budget Blinds are coming today for a free consultation. Hope that they can give us a great deal on window treatments for our new house. Our fridge is still not hooked up and still confusion about the hose/ hook up for the water line. Hopefully we will get a call back today or tomorrow from Sears so we can have running water and ice this next week!

Weather is amazing outside, so cool and beautiful! Yes there have been some storms with rain however my hubby and I have been loving the rain! Anything to get our lawn to grow is great right now.

Made some tasty Mexican food last night. No burrito shell and just the ingredients in a bowl. Enjoyed it very much and looking forward to dinner tonight.

Been enjoying re-watching the tv show True Blood. Watched four episodes so far for season 1 and then will get through season 2. Season 3 begins in about a week and a half. The seasons have begun to go a different direction than the Sookie Stackhouse books. It will be interesting to see what happens and how different it is from the books.

After hours of work yesterday, that felt like a heavy gym workout, I was able to get the majority of the rubbermaids, boxes and other stuff sorted into piles sectioned off in the house. Have to fill out some rebates, warranties and get some unpacking done.

This week is moving by quickly so far. Can't believe it's Wednesday already. 10 days in our new house and it's still wonderful. Just hope to get a few things taken care of and look forward to the housewarming party. If all the unpacking done soon then probably could squeeze the housewarming the end of this month, but as it looks July may work better for our house warming. Perhaps the weekend of the fourth of July? Now that I think about it, probably not a good idea. May run this idea by family and friends and see what they are doing already that weekend. Could make it July the 2nd on a Friday. That could work. Shall see about that.

Have So Many Phone Calls To Make

Have so many phone calls to make today. Lazy morning so far. Have so much to take in, sort through and put away. I have had a soar on the bottom of my foot for awhile, been up stomping on it so much the past few weeks cause of the moving, it's finally beginning to look a little better. Have an appointment next week with the foot doctor, hope it's almost fully healed by then.

Made some potato salad two days ago, half was for a housewarming party, second half was for tomorrow for the family memorial day celebration. Finished the potato salad this morning for breakfast. Good stuff.

Took the trash out to the driveway edge for the first time last night and this morning. Hope the trash man comes today, we have so much that we've unpacked that needs throwing away. Recycling will be coming on Wednesday. Hope to get the bin soon so we can have something to put our stuff into.

Kitties are still adjusting well to the move. Hopefully this means that we can introduce a new member of the family soon, if not it will be just the two girls.
