Have been unpacking for the past several days since moving in. Treating the sunburn that I got from two days of being out in the sunshine moving everything into the new house.
Began to write this post and then the handyman arrived and fixed the front door, tightened a few of the cabinets so they pull out and roll correctly and place an order for a new spice rack.
Then I began to carry in more things making room on the left side of the garage. Hopefully my husband will be able to pull in tonight and park his car. If not then I'll surely be able to clear enough room by tomorrow after I'm home from running errands.
The kitties are so happy to be home and definitely acting like they are at home. Most doors to rooms stay shut when we're not in them. Other than their kitty room which will stay open all the time except when it's time for bed, and when we are away for a few hours.
I missed the comfort from having the kitties around. Now that they are back it is a little more difficult to get things unpacked and taken care of because I have to make sure they don't wonder into the garage. However I'm happy that in my down time I get to relax with my girls.
From the moment that the house was officially ours it has felt like home. The next morning waking up in our own bed. Imagining what waking up in the room would feel like for months and then finally waking up in our room, couldn't be happier! It is just as I imagined. Aside from in my dreams all the window treatment was up and the walls were painted. I will be slowly working on that but hopefully I'll have quite a bit completed once the house warming arrives. Looking to have it around the end of June or in July. All depends on how quickly we are able to unpack and organize. I can't wait to show off our house to our family and friends! This is a house that I am proud to call our own!
